TV As My Home
Who wasn't a TV addict growing up?
My currently expanding home,
Was always in the form of TV
Cartoons bubbled me from the world's surroundings.
I mockingjayed a movie in my bedroom at age 4
Until my dad slammed the brakes on it.
At age 11, acting auditions was an exception.
One day, a fellow girl scout flooded my ears,
Of ways cartoons aren't what they seemed.
Television grew up with me,
From living room enjoyment,
To internet videos of ideas,
That built the bridge connecting Toons to reality.
The more the bowlis filled,
With blood, overdosed mental spice, and corpse chills,
The more younger Monique dies with the Rugrats.
My satisfactory matches Ash's in his coma dreams of Pokémon,
But I hunger for more,
Like Garfield envisioning Jon and Odie.

I'm not the most sophisticated adult out there. I'm also not the best at communicating all the time, but I do try my best to get my thoughts out there into the world verbally or nonverbally.
