Turning Wheels
Do you feel this? Do you feel this wheel turning again?
Do you feel this?
This heavy knowledge of responsibility?
This understanding of time invested?
This required use of your abilities?
This overwhelming need to do your best?
Do you feel this?
This crippling fear of failing your calling?
This cowardice couched in excuses, reason?
This heart-pounding terror of climbing and falling?
This tail-tucked shame for fumbling these ones?
Do you feel this?
This gnawing ache of things unfinished?
This creeping, numb, desolate paralysis?
This whispering loss of potential diminished?
This atmosphere of calculated malice?
Do you feel this?
This urgent pressing from your future self?
This teary-eyed plea from six-year-old you?
This tingling surge to a soul once engulfed?
This glimmer of hope as purpose rises anew?
Do you feel this wheel turning again?
