Distress
A leaf falls from its outstretched branch
An ill-fated turn of events
Crystalized flakes pile among the ground
Trapped
Days shortening
The cold air brings dreadful news
Needless
Though necessary
Strengths tested
I remain here
Darkness surrounding
I'll share my warmth
Tenderness
Exclusive to your company
A safe haven
Fortified
Until we see the light again
Bearing the unfortunate fate
Agony
Seized in our minds
Encased with misery
But never alone
Time crawls
Aurora
A flicker of lights dance across the sky
An optimistic prevail
Even the darkest places hold hope
Snow melting
The days become long once more
Light shatters belief of wretched outcome
Grievances cease to exist
Though our hearts will never be the same
I will still love you with its whole
