Tranquility
Forget your troubles for a moment and embrace yourself and your surroundings.
Meditate for me, that you are internally serene
For a moment; you can allow the chaos to leave
Your mind and your body. Close your eyes,
You’re under an oak tree in midsummer.
Glide your hands through the grass,
Finger the earth, sit peacefully, and breath.
How silent nature is, listen to it;
Maybe a breeze whispers this in your ear:
Let go of everything, it’s okay.
The pastoral setting speaks to you,
So, you do; you let go, gently
Of your worries, your fears, your anxieties;
They don’t matter now, not here.
You see a chaffinch in the sky;
Its breast offers warmth, its cap offers peace.
Contrasts of colour that caress the soul
In waves of euphoria, transcending you
Beyond the world you know to your own place
Of spiritual ascension; There you go.
Now your beauty is obvious to you,
Your glow, radiating beyond the barriers
Of your body connecting to everyone,
You are a gift to the world, you are angelic,
Toying with the idea of immortality
That has already been achieved
Through the music of your love.
