If there ever comes a day, that you feel you cannot shine,
I ask, no, I insist that you come take some of mine.
I can't tell you life is not cruel or that it will always be fair,
But I can tell you, no, I promise that I'll always be there.
And even if it's been a long and dormant time,
Know that we need not verbalize, to remain upon my mind.
So when you realize that the years have been unkind,
Don't forget all the times we left our worries far behind.
So if you're feeling alone and heard by no one else,
You can dust off this old friend off, I'll be here sitting on the shelf.
Even after miles and years, may seem to come between,
They all become irrelavent, In actuality.
For in the end, sweet love, In my heart you'll always be.
