To the Longing

To the Boy I'll Never See

I can still hear the pulsing in my ears.

Your eyes were shining with so much pining.

I prayed to whomever, that you not see my tremor

Because that was when you linked our fingers.

I had never felt such a way before

And this was what really scared me so.

My head spun round and made me sway

But that made you speak and made my mind weak.

We talked for a while before you leaned in with that smile,

Making me panic with such distraught manic.

If this goes wrong it is you I would miss the most

But I could not portray those words that I wanted to say

And even though I will forever admit to this longing

Our time has come and gone leaving minds forever wandering.
