To the Girl Who Deserves the Best

She Was One Step Away from Oblivion

No one seemed to be on to her

She was one step away from oblivion

Masking her sadness everyday with this happiness-powered infusion

and it seems that it was working, for the most part.

No one seemed to be on to her.

Who would?

with a face that radiates that drives fears away and everything seems to glisten.

with a smile that makes anyone’s day and it melts your inhibitions.

Her silence, the good kind of silence, where you think that the world would just suddenly stop, go in slow motion, zoom in, close up, and appreciate that picture perfect notion.

And it did work, for the most part. No one seemed to be onto her

Who would?

Me. I would. I did.

She was shattered but enduring

broken but persevering

She is as strong as she gets

refusing to give up, always doing her fucking best.

even in two opposite spectrums, earth and outer space, she tries to kiss the heavens because. Just because. And that’s okay.

Don’t pity her or patronize her, even when she cries

She is a warrior, not in a shining armor, but with marks and scars and bruises that makes her even greater.

and when she falls down and is in a pinch,

Wipe her tears, tell her “it’s going to be okay” help her stand up and fight her demons alongside with her

Keep the evil at bay.

To the girl who refuses to give up

be proud of what you have accomplished

along with the happiness, and the sadness

the silly mistakes, the destructing heartbreaks

it is all part of the package of who you are today.

keep moving forward, like the tides of time.

learn from the bad, then leave it. Bring the good and share it.

Share it to the ones who care, share it to the ones you love. Share it to the ones who would always be there.

To the girl who stole the stars

With the bubble-wrapped heart.

It’s okay to feel tired. It’s okay to feel like it’s not working

But never fear, my dear, you can always have a fresh new start.

Selfless, relentless, and that kindness that reaches deep down one’s soul

The constellations are jealous when your only intention was just self-reinvention

And I forgot to mention, that you influence people with an actualization that everything will always get better. That they deserve the best because they earned it.

You earned it. Why can’t you?

So I am saying this, to the girl who deserves the best.

You deserve the best because you worked hard for it

Treat people right, always putting up a fight, no matter how imperfect we are.

The beacon of light even if it holds the greatest burden

Refusing to give up and would always pull through

Like how the sea always kisses the shore no matter what they do.

That is why you deserve to be happy

The kind of happiness that would always stay

no matter how gray or dark the day is

That is why you deserve to be blessed.

blessings on blessings upon blessings that would trample the grief and wash the pain away without arrest.

That is why you deserve to be loved

unconditional love that makes your heart flutter, but it makes you feel home inside

That love that rages your dopamine and oxytocin, but is also calm that makes you listen.

The love that takes you to new heights but never forgets to be always humble, truthful, grateful, and always check on what’s missin.

That love that you think is best, because you are the best

She was one step away from oblivion

She fell, felt destroyed and was reborn like a phoenix that is blazing fire but has that loving warmth

Creating a best version of herself everyday

So when you see this girl, make sure that in your life, she is a mainstay
