To the Divine Woman
From the Heart of an Open Man
From the bottom of my heart, I swear I'm sorry.
that he treated you that way
that all the he's treated you that way.
Nevermind these lies they told
they were just afraid,
afraid of the raw power that is a strong woman
yet we find ourselves at the cusp of a new era
an era in which I as a man must atone
for I understand that I must do better
I must love deeper.
For you are of the rarest jewels
your very anatomy is that of a blessing
a blessing that promises life
for who is a man to dictate how that life experiences its journey?
I've been silent long enough, as a man
and can no longer bear such a heavy heart.
We must do better, we must love deeper,
while I know men have seemed to embody
such evil, such irreverence,
yet darling trust,
that I am no such man.
I feel your pain.
I empathize with your isolation.
True, I do not have the flesh of a woman,
I do not bleed in the sacred manner of the moons as you do,
yet and still I deeply honor you.
And now darling, may we restore the balance,
for I know how strong and independent you are.
I know how powerful you are.
You don't need anyone, let alone a man,
yet I still stand by you,
just in case you feel you may ever need a helping hand, an ally of sorts, an upstander of truth, love, and justice.
True, I am not a woman
but I know that this is your time,
our time
to make up for the darkness the was the past hour
we are strongest together, my love
as we both remain sovereign and free!
Together we have a whole new world to build!
for the queen, the Goddess, that you inherently are,
and may you be forever revered.
