To Life (So Far)

The world in a complicated time

Where we surround ourselves with friends and enemies

Where we make mistakes that scar our souls

where we wonder if the sun will shine another day

where we wonder if this is the safest journey

where we feel abandoned by some

or supported by others

Where there is laughter cloaked by sorrow

Where there is light hidden by darkness

Where hope is hard to find

when we look around

in the dark room
