To All the Good Souls, I Salute You

Whoever You Are, Wherever You May Be

To all the good souls out there I salute you.

I know it hasn't been easy.

It isn't easy.

People like you were born with so much love to give in a world that has too much hate.

You're a rare yet special breed.

But in a world of chaos, you are the calming summer breeze, the changing of the fall leaves, the winter sunrise and sunset, the spring flowers bringing life to earth again.

You are the gentle ocean waves kissing the sand. Tickling peoples toes.

You're that shooting star that people wish upon making you a walking miracle,

You are someone's wish.

You are the air that people with hurt and pain breathe into their lungs.

Giving them some sense of hope again.

Giving them some sort of meaning.

You are their sigh of relief.

And because of that you should never change.

Never.

I know you hurt.

I know you hold tears behind your contagious smile.

I know the battles you fight behind your radiating laugh.

I know the broken pieces you hold together behind your eyes.

I know you give and give and give and receive nothing but heartache back.

But I also know you save.

You love.

You are the definition of love.

And that is the most holy most lovely part of your being.

You'd rather be the one wounded then the one to do the wounding.

You are good people and good people heal.

So please continue to wear your heart on your sleeve.

Never take it off even if people left a few scratches on it here and there.

Even on days you feel exhausted of absent-mindingly loving.

Your scars make you unique.

Good will find you and love will be given to you.

The type of good that vibrates your bones.

The type of love that spills out of your pores.

The universe will thank you kid.

I am sure of it.

Your heart is what this world needs to be okay again.

So to you and your beautiful fragile soul,

Whoever you may be

Wherever you may be,

I know it's been a long journey

And I salute you.
