Time Waits for Me

I looked around and watched standing in an empty room

As I stood absolutely still, time began to zoom

Frozen in time, I was unable to move

I contemplated moving forward because I thought it was too soon

Finally, I took one step ahead and time took ten

Then I took two steps backwards and it started over again

Like a dance of death, a love/hate situation

So I closed my eyes and went into deep meditation

I thought of how my future was affected by the past

I replayed every moment examining how things went so fast

I began to see things that I never did see

And from now until forever, time waits for me

I walk my own pace with time on my side

I don't fear the place where fast and slow collide

I ride the waves of life and calm the raging sea

I sail through all the strife, knowing time waits for me

UNfrozen in time, I can walk, jog or run

I can sprint full speed. I can even soar just for fun

I climb, jump and roll under all the obstacles I see

And when I stop to take a breath, time waits for me

When I need to take a rest, time waits for me

When I have to dig deep to find my best, time waits for me

They say "Time waits for no man." but I see things differently

And from now until forever, time waits for me
