Time Ticks On

Clock

Everywhere you go, you hear a tick,

And you can see the needle flick.

Sometimes you can hear a simple tock,

That's got to be the hand on the clock.

You watch the hands go to the right,

And expect something to appear in sight.

Why must these hands not go left,

It surely must be for the best.

If back time goes it would be suppressed,

And keep us all still and depressed.

So forward we go to see the light,

For this will surely keep us bright.

As time moves on with a tock and a tick,

Time will start to fly real quick.

So don't rush and cherish each minute,

As this time you have is not infinite.
