Through the Fields

December's Fate

Carry me away from this pain.

The darkness is kissing me in the nights

when you’re away.

Slowly creeping back into my life

Is the doubt that used to consume me.

The cool air seeps in through my floorboards,

Followed closely by the hell

You helped break me from.

Chains materialize around my

Blood soaked wrists.

Fastly fading in and out of consciousness…

I attempt to surrender,

but a blinding flash of light

Appears in the distance.

Hope replaces my doubt,

My wrists return to their scarred state.

The feeling of joy sets in as you arrive,

The unsung hero. My love.
