Those Brown Eyes

Poem

For all I see is you (Photo by Rhett Wesley on Unsplash)

There are times when I look into your eyes

I feel as though I am seeing deep into your soul

These beautiful milk chocolate eyes; they're not always this color.

Majority of the time they're a dark chocolate brown.

But sometimes when the setting is right

They become a luscious tempting chocolate color that I just can’t resist.

At times even in anger, within a second that anger can turn to lust

All because of those milky brown eyes.

At times I see your sadness, and at times I see your truth.

All because of these beautiful brown eyes.

I don’t know what it is about this shade, or why they randomly appear.

But when they do, they are my weakness of loving you.

Even when you're gone, in my dreams, or just in my thoughts

All I can see are those Milky Way eyes.

And I pray they will always haunt me.
