This One's for You

A Poem...

This one is for you.

For every heart that is broken, left unanswered and alone.

Yearning for words never spoken, dreaming of more than which they've known.

For the spirits of beautiful colour who cannot seem to feel more than blue...

If you feel no one cares or understands, then this one is for you.

When the night never seems to end and you lay alone in the dark.

You long for the light but you would settle for a spark.

For a breath of another life that now seems so very far.

You lay on your bed aching to lose yourself while wishing silently on a star.

As aspiring dreams of yesterday seem as strong as they ever were.

Something inside won't go or hide and feelings start to stir.

You wonder why although you try and after all you have been through...

Don't let the negative voice win inside, my friend, this one is for you.

There is one light burning, one voice calling you home.

Listen as you hear this for the whisper is your own.

Although the light flickers it blazes on all the same.

There is a life of peace and happiness through the all-consuming pain...

May these words softly reach you, may you find some comfort here.

I pray not to preach or teach you just to soothe your darkest fear.

If one heart beats easier, if a single tear dries before it hits the ground.

Then Inside my soul of sincerity, some happiness will be found.

This one is for you, you are not alone.

Just listen to the whisper it is your own.

You're light may flicker, but it will blaze on.

It's not until you are tested, that you realise you are strong.

When you think no one cares...

You're the only one lost without a clue.

Trust me when I say all things will pass...

For I was once you.
