This Is My Baby's Lullaby

Saying Goodbye Before Saying Hello

As I dream about your face

I sit and take it back

For it's like an angel

Surely there's no lack

As I ponder aimlessly

Up and down this hall

One can't help but wonder

Is it there at all?

I know that you're inside of her

As simple and as true

But I wish that I could feel you move

Oh, yes I really do

They say that there's a plan for this,

I guess I'll never know

I wish that I could meet you

Could love and help you grow

No matter how I feel inside

I really have no choice

All that I can give to you

Is a softly written voice

I wish that things were different

We wouldn't say goodbye

But as it is I have to

This is my Baby's Lullaby
