This is me

I am looking in the mirror

Watching as my face shifts into different shapes

Looking as the features on my face start to blur together

This is who I am

I am different

I like to stand out from the crown

I like to feel like a leader and not a follower

This is the person I am

I am very passionate about things I am interested in

I feel like life should be fair and we should all get along

I feel like we should all lend a helping hand to help each other out

This is my personality

I have a pure heart of gold

I wear my heart on my sleeve

I am determined to make the best of all situations

I am a proud single mother

I raise my daughters all by myself

I strive to teach them all they need to know

I want them to be as strong as I am

This is me; this is who I am

And I am perfectly alright with that

Because when my daughters look at me

They see the strong woman I have become.
