They, Thoughts

How Brighter Thinking Leaves Some Ahead in the Dark

They scream and shake

They give less than they take

Make the host feel near the point to break

What is, "they", for goodness sake?

Thoughts.

Many people live their lives using thoughts as a tool

But for the some of us, they're purely cruel

For the athlete, to compete

For the writer, poisonous desire

They can be somewhat neat

And surprise the host and guests with something sweet

But many times leave the holder feeling defeat

They build and boil into a blaze

When there is no one else to take them away

Sure the metaphor put a few in awe

But yes here it comes, the flaws

These thoughts are caked in passion

Aching for an outside reaction

Not from just any bystander

The actual understander

The ones that feel just as stuck

Wondering through the rooms

Wishing to be visible to all

The thoughts though, they hold them apart

How simple would it be for everyone to be equally understood?

We, I, you?

We, we know too much, a divisive amount

We feel a lonely amount

Please

Catch them someone!

And take them away

Who am I kidding, is there anyone?
