They Hide Within or Outside
Living Like a Puppet

Who pulls your strings?
I am but the puppet within my dreams
I’m yet to know who pulls my strings
Somewhere the puppet master hides
within me or outside
My voice is silent and not heard
Then from afar a voice is thrown
My lips move and words are formed
Somewhere the ventriloquist hides
within me or outside
A silent movie is my dream
My life just a silent picture,
still and framed, my stillness
becomes motion frame by frame
Somewhere the animator hides
within me or outside
It’s said I have free will a life of choice
Yet who pulls my strings
Who gives me a voice
Am I a still frame or in motion
Somewhere the puppet master,
Ventriloquist and the animator hides
within me or outside
Somebody sets my motion
Somebody gives me words
Somebody pulls my strings
Who?
