The Words I Wanted to Say

When Your Mind Tries to Speak for Your Heart

She just wanted to be appreciated. Living in this world where she feels so hated. She just wanted to be loved. Did you know she barely ever got comforted with a hug? She just wanted a happy ending to her Cinderella story. But she didn't get that. She got heartbroken. Prince Charming didn't come looking. So tell me what does she do? I'll tell you. She goes crazy. She loses sleep. She cries. Demons haunt her every waking moment. She's paralyzed by anger. She's afraid to love. She's bombarded with positivity. They make her try to forget about reality for the time being. But there's so much she can try to forget. There's so much she can try to forgive. But how do you forgive when you haven't healed? How do you forget when all you get is reminders that you come second to every person you've ever met?People say it's easy. She says it isn't. She's called pessimistic and negative. They tell her she wants to live this way. But that's so far from the truth. She just wants people to understand why it isn't. They say they do understand everyone goes through it at least once or twice. But she already knows that. She just wants people to understand the depth of the pain she feels. That's the thing, she always tries to hide it behind false well-constructed smiles. Because when she was loud about it, it fell on deaf ears. But when she was silent about it she hoped it would open up their ears. But whichever way she tried she still went unnoticed. The tears the anger the silence the scars sat right there staring back at her as she had a blank look on her face as she tries to reach up from her sunken place and hold on to the very life she was ready to lose and let go to waste......
