The Wilted Wise Flower

An Extended Metaphor of How Flowers Are Judged by Appearance and so Are People

The flowers that go untouched are often the oldest ones.

The wisest and wilted flower with falling petals and a weakening stem is the flower that ends up unpicked.

The problem bobbing around is that assuming and labeling the physical appearance of what's around us makes us blind to the most beautiful part about them.

We pick flowers because they look pretty. We don’t realize how we are tearing the life out them, but instead we take in the vibrant petals that they hold.

For our own satisfaction, we rip out the roots to a youthful flower to hold and admire it.

The petals of a flower don’t shine as bright as the one sitting next to it therefore, it goes ignored and unwanted even though it is the wisest in the garden.
