The Whole World + the Work = the Whole World

The whole world stops
and stares
The pressure’s on
Eyes flutter back and forth
They stare into your soul
The whole world stops
and stares
Then, they move on.
Briefly, fleetingly, they
all belong to you
Or rather, you belong
to them
A singular moment where
you are one and the same.
Some will laugh,
Some will cry
Some will cover their faces
and hide.
Some will simply walk on by,
Others will stand there
until the end of time.
The whole world stops
and stares
The pressure’s on
Eyes flutter back and forth
They stare into your soul
The whole world stops
and stares
Then, they move on.
