A Poem

"The Whisper"...

I've been hearing but not listening, it has been so very long.

Since I was touched by the beauty within the birds sweet song.

Sleep walking, eyes wide open as sands of time gently slip...

With heart humble, mind busy through my foolish weary grip.

I hear The Whisper in my head " slow down...live "...

"Let ghosts blow in winds of past, breathe in love and forgive"...

"Rise as the long grass in this sunlight, don't be afraid to shine"...

"Embrace this gift you are given, while you still have the time".

The voice is kind and familiar, baring no threat just gentle warning.

That tomorrow is gone in yesterday today is our calling.

So many times we ignore The Whisper...

The intuition that we feel.

We pass off miracles as coincidence as something which is not real.

I am as guilty as any other, for taking life for granted sometimes.

But every now and then I hear it again and suddenly I notice all the signs.

Signs which are all around me, screaming to me take a deep breath...

Breathe in this precious wonder for in the midst of life you are in death.

I am blessed to hear The Whisper, although some may think it a curse.

It reminds me in my darkest hour things could be so much worse.

So I Whisper this to you my friend in the bars of a rhyme.

If your day is cloudy or dark sometimes you have to wash your own eyes.

Stop and in the silence the noise will disappear.

When you hear The Whisper don't begin to fear.

Look at what you are taking...

Look at what you give...

Listen to The whisper...

"Live".
