The Weight of Words

Mind and Blank Screen Fight

I don't know what to write

Mind and blank screen fight

For words to form and flow

Barriers begin to build and grow

It is not easy to keep dreaming

Practicality keeps on screaming

You can't do this; you are not enough

You are going to fail; it will be too tough

Strength is needed to push forward

Endurance keeps a promise to your word

We must fight past our backpedal

To achieve our version of a gold medal

Saying I will do this is breezy

Doing those things is a tad uneasy

Do not let yourself start to drown

Before you have fallen down

We have to fail and stand back up

Push past the pain and cleanup

It is not our failures that define us

But our ability to learn and focus
