The Waterfall

Waves crash

And foam bubbles

It fills me with serenity.

The bank soft and sandy,

Invites me to its bed

Where I contemplate eternity.

I think of God

All knowing and all powerful

He listens to our pleas for help

And yet we’re all so sorrowful

I watch the ripple of the glassy water,

The way it ebbs and flows.

And just like life, you never know

Which way it comes and goes.

The water falls to the pool below

The drop most certainly means death.

But then the stream continues on

As if it never ends.

The waterfall seems like life, I think.

Or so I’d like to say.

So here I’ll sit in silent peace,

And think on it today.
