Boy and girl go to war
Their words are weapons that pierce like swords
Their eyes are spies that pry into each other’s lives
Fighting over broken promises and secret alliances.
They were once a team, now at war
one begins to fortify their heart
the other fights for the mind
She just wants to soothe her heart from the the pain the last war has caused her
He just wants to listen to his mind, so he doesn’t end up wasting his time
She’s claiming the battlegrounds under love while he claims the field for lust.
This is the war within Us.
