The War Between Us

Poem

This

This has to stop

I can’t keep doing this

The yelling, arguing, and ignoring

Why can’t it end?

It’s frustrating going back and forth

Only to never come to peace

When will it end?

If only things went back to how they used to be

I can’t keep doing this

I can’t keep fighting between you and everyone else

They don’t care about me

They will say they do

They don’t

They aren’t even my family

A fake family, that’s what I have

They are not family

They never understand

You do

You might be one of the only ones who does

Yet we keep fighting

Fighting till no end

Why can’t we stop?

Fighting 535 miles apart

I wouldn’t be able to say those things to your face

You’re 535 miles away

It’s too far

When will the fighting end?

Tell me, because I don’t know

I want it to end

I can’t keep doing this

The fighting has to end

Before it ends us
