You can't blame self-destruction on anyone, but yourself. Your mind will play tricks on you and deceive you. It will tell you you aren't good enough. But, to anyone who does feel that way, I'm here to tell you that you are wonderful no matter what. Ignore that second instinct that tries to destroy you.
Uncover their presence.
Why are they here?
Beating me up, leaving me weak.
Scrambling my thoughts, erasing my dreams.
Bringing up the worst memories.
Screaming my name in vain.
I'm struck with so much confusion and pain.
My life in control, not in my control.
And I believe what they say; the voices in my head.

Hello. I am 13 years old and have been writing stories since first grade. I journal frequently, as I find it a way to clear the mind and ease self destruction. I'm very ardent about poetry and a poem of mine was published in a book.
