Full of longing

and regret

So she stood

w a t c h i n g

out the window for a

glimpse

of the love

that she let slip

from her ungrateful hands—

Destroyed by her inner demon.

Waiting, hoping;

Perhaps paths would once again cross

and sparks would reignite.

But what was fully unknown

to both

was that the

hopeful whispers

of her heart

were fully in vain;

This love so longed for
