The Unfolding of a Heartbeat

It was an open invitation for something more to come.

It never stopped as it changed the tempo of the drum, that kept giving it new partners to dance with.

The more a crush grew feeling like a monolith.

It started with a smile, a sigh, a flutter. It made the heart almost melt as if butter, was what coursed through veins instead of blood. Then finally it landed in a new home with a thud.

It was like nothing before that was ever felt.It never created the same experience as when they knelt, down on one knee and finally it was known. That what had become of the tempo was that it had grown. It changed the tune that was danced to that day.It built a new set of wings so that they, could dance on together with only the two. There would never less or more for their beaux.

A heartbeat unfolds but only a single time.It finds its true song when love finds its prime.

I fancy myself to be a writer of all trades. So long as those trades are all opinion pieces. I do have varying interests though so my opinions vary too, and every once in a while I have advice. Follow me on twitter @no_ellawillett
