The Truth of a Heartbreak

Why We Can't Be Together

By Jazz AllenPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

They say you can't love someone without loving yourself first,

I don't believe in that.

I never loved myself,

never thought I could do it.

I imagined people talking behind my back because I wasn't good enough,

people not enjoying my company, and it was all in my head because I hated myself.

But you... oh wow, you are perfect. I love you more than the planets combined,

I love you hair,

I love your eyes.

I love your mood at 3am when everyone else is asleep and everything is funny,

I love how you believe in me

and how you know how to make me feel good about myself.

But you love him,

you love the fact that he knows what to say when he's cheated, you love the way he looks at you.

You love all of him.

I know we cannot be together,

I know that it cannot work because you love him

and I love the fact that your happy and I don't want to ruin that. Because what you have is special and at least one of us has found happiness
