The Triads

What do you want out of life?

I stand on the beach, gazing beyond the horizon

I am thinking of why i am so different from other citizens

In a good way or bad way, i am yet to decide

For within me, i know the truth resides

There are three things the flesh solely requires passionately

Money, Power, and absolute immortality

Thus we live in times where the first is essential

The second is barely attained except through something special

But the third is the rarest gem of all

It is the attribute that people with the first two cannot have, at all

Immortality, it is a blessing and probably a curse

Who can be so sure?, though some with it walk amongst us

Money, I soldi, Monnaie, Dinero, Geld, Panam

Power, Potere, Puissance, El Poder, Macht, Sakphi

Immortality, immortalità, immortalité, inmortalidad, onsterfelijkheid

These, all these are what we solely desire, or is it not?

Can man's hunger be satisfied on a long-run?

While i thinketh this, i see these three in form of a creature

Money, in form of a snake, Power, in form of a bull

And immortality in form of a hydra, what a group

And just as they came forth, i saw another set of three

Peace, in form of a dove, Happiness, in form of Quokka

And Love in form of a butterfly, such a beautiful sight

In this i understood what i must do, what i must pursue

Peace, Happiness, and Love are now my three basic desires

But i also noticed a pattern, if the first three are the spearhead

The latter never follows, they scatter

But if the latter leads the formation, the other have no choice but to follow

and thus it is clear, in the most stand away ever

Peace begot Money, Happiness begot Power

And Love begot immortality, now that is a strong tower

And so, i must say this vision was worth it, i cannot lie

I would have said more but a kid just kicked the beach sand into my eyes
