Journey to Loving Myself

THE TRAP.

Huddled at the Corner

of the end of your tunnel

is a Twig, with thorns that bother

Sending a pain through you so

sharp it makes you shudder.

But, when the light makes its entrance

your bleeding is hardly compared

to the twig with thorns burning.

PARADISE.

Every time they ask

We Sing,

‘All is well at last’.

CLICK.

We think each other's thoughts

Much to our surprise

And no one knows how parallel

The universes really play it

But, we both know

That we have both been here before.

GEM.

To dance as though

The one your heart seeks

Cannot see

So,

The world can believe

Love’s magic is real.

CATALYST.

There is nothing wrong with you

Do not regret the things you do;

Like dominoes our actions fall

Without air or touch they would not at all.

So, when they try to serve you shame

Stand your ground, and take your aim

Tell the devil,

'Not Today'

AUDIENCE.

Now you are afraid…..

If it were not so

I would not have told you.

SURRENDER

Basking in the knowing

That these desires now sweetly released

Return with an overflowing

Of gifts they were sent to bring,

And thus believing

That what is meant to be

Must be.
