The Tragedy of the Cards

The Tale of Tens

The diamonds are shattered,

The spades are all bruised,

The clubs are now broken

And the hearts are abused.

The Jacks went to cry,

The Queens are now wed,

The Kings want to die

While the Jokers are dead.

The Aces are beaten,

The Two's ran away,

The Three's and Four's are now dead

And the Five's cannot play.

The Six's are crying,

The Seven's have lost,

The Eight's and Nine's have been lying,

All because the Ten's didn't think about a cost.

The cards have all folded,

The game has come to an end,

All for one reason,

All because of the Tens.
