The Ticket

Waiting

This ticket lays on shelves,

unburdened by the anxiety

of not knowing.

Rampant, hoped for

Better days

What power paper has!

Somehow holding vestiges

of the mighty forest

it has fallen from.

Imagine the forest.

All the time in the world

to walk

to stop there

with all this green.

All that Green

That ticket Screams!

In a silent rage

I wait.

For better days

I Wait,

for knowing,

not knowing

is better than truth.

The imagined,

unimaginable hopes.
