The Swan Dance

A Poem

Painful screams are all she hears

Tortured memories are all to clear

Angry voices within her head

Make her wish that she were dead

All this time spent trying to fight

When all she wants is to end her life

When will she see the light

Or will she always be so slight

Her life is ticking, ticking away

And all she wants is to die today

No more memories or painful dreams

Once she takes her one last leap

Falling fast, ground so hard with her last breath she says

I’m finally free
