The Strong

You said you loved me and lead me astray.

You said I was yours and you would stay.

You once wiped my tears but who could have known.

You would now be the reason my tears have been shown.

You once held me tight to make me feel safe.

Now I just feel like a broken old waif.

You helped with courage and gave me joy.

Then ripped it away and filled with annoy.

What I would have done to make you stay.

But now not worth the words to say.

You forget when we met the person I was.

And choose to ignore for no true cause.

I will move on despite my tears fall.

I am more solid than the hardest brick wall.

A simple crack can not make me crumble.

And your leaving me will not cause a stumble.

I shall seek peace in the stars above.

And I know I will find my true love.

And when I do it will last forever long.

They will see what you could not, that I will always be The Strong.
