There was a girl.

A girl that was happy.

Happy with who is she until.

Until one day she found out.

Out that her outer looks were different.

Different when she saw her leg look bigger.

Bigger and short than her other leg.

The leg that people and herself consider normal.

Normal to the world and what is considered the same.

Same is what she wanted.

Wanted her leg that looks different to look like the other one.

One day, she and her family went to the same hospital that found out her situation.

The situation went the girl thought that her second surgery will make her leg magically look like her normal leg.

The leg that she always despises.

Despise that after her second surgery she didn’t see the change.

Change that she wants so much and start to become bitter.

Bitter and angry over the years.

Years she soon learns that she suffers from more than just limb length discrepancy.

The discrepancy was fair from her problems.

Problems were low self-esteem with her looks.

Her looks were considered ugly where she thought not to be loved.

Love was another one of her problems.

Problems with thinking that only beautiful people belong together.

Then problem after problem like people make her life miserable for not being in the popular group and trying to find herself.

Now, she is not bothered with her limb length discrepancy she is now trying to discover self-love and trying to be happy with herself in the face of many obstacles.

This story is still evolving.

While this story is evolving every single day.

The day this story or poem about an experience.

An experience that I think everyone should learn about.

About how the journey of discovering how to love yourself and body is a difficult process.

This experience about me the girl with the limb length discrepancy trying to survive each day trying to be happy.
