It’s tough sometimes trying to refill your own cup of positivity
When no one else but you is there to pour or hold your cup steady
It’s tiring when you’ve poured all your positivity into those less than true
When no one wants to pour life and energy into you
It’s exhausting when your well has run dry and others look for a refill
When you want to be the strong one but hardly anyone knows you’re the sensitive son
It’s grueling when the river of encouragement flows in one direction.
When you’re swimming upstream to reach the place your positivity was birthed
It’s infuriating to know you are close to the finish
When the limbs of your heart feel leaden Staggering stumbling lest you faint
And everyone fancies you the steadfast saint
