Shining Number 17

A young star had grown to be one of the brightest in the sky.

He was a happy star as he seen how the planets would come alive and dance when his light came every day.

"I like having so many friends," the young star would think.

Until one of the older, wiser stars whispered something to him and the star sank, promising never to shine again.

"Much as you say you won't, you always must," the older star said.

"But they only like my light and not me" she cried, now changed.

"Ah but shine your light is what you do, take your light is what they will do, most will only ever see your light and never you," the words came from the elder star.

With that the young star rose, climbed higher than before and did what stars do; starred.
