(I'm working on publishing a poetry collection with a whole bunch of new poems so I haven't uploaded anything on here for a while. In the meantime, my little brother wanted to try and write a poem with me and this is what we came up with LOL.)

*

A long time ago

A spy was hunting

To and fro

Until he found a prize.

A mysterious bird

Flew to him and sang a song

It was nice.

The spy, thought the bird was

Wonderful

And wanted to become just like it

'Just like you, I want to fly!'

'Okay, you can try',

The bird replied.

The next day,

The spy decided to climb

Onto a roof

and sang

'I BELIEVE I CAN FLY'

Just before he was about to try

The bird flew to him

'If you jump, you will die.'

Later that day, the spy

Went into a mysterious forest

And wanted to cry

Because he couldn't fly.

As he was walking

He spotted the colorful bird

Watching a fly

And trying to hunt it.

'Do not eat it,' screamed the spy

'What are you trying to do?'

'I want to become a spy,

I want to become just like you'.

Before either of them could respond

A man in a parachute lands

On the ground.

'Be happy with yourselves,

One day you will understand

That being you is simply sound.'

He ran away to a nearby plane

The bird and the spy

Laughed and decided to say

Bye bye

And continued their separate lives

Being happy with who they were,

And choosing to stay.
