The Sound (and Truth in Shadows)
Two Poems
THE SOUND:
When the skies light up the fires of the morrow's splendor
And the darkness races in from the east
When thunder cracks across
a sea of black
As the twilight slowly nears
hold your loved one dear
fight away those tears
lest the love in your heart
be devoured by fears
keep hope close to you
and call the name aloud
and if you are lucky
you may hear a lovely sound
Kaloriinn, James. Mason
TRUTH IN SHADOWS:
light consumes darkness
through shadow
through shadow
darkness devours light
through shadow
through shadow
to walk from day
to night
shadows must be crossed
beware, their nature
as they may shift
and can consume all
bringing plight and delight
even small ones
that dance upon your wall
may release
such vile poison
or blissful toxin
if they bite
Kaloriinn, James. Mason
