The Snake and the Rabbit

Is there no place like home?

The rabbit had no choice but to take shelter with the snakes when the other rabbits betrayed her

But living with the snakes was no easy task

Constantly looking over your shoulder

Being taunted every day for sport

Struggling to stay alive and not be gobbled up during the night

The rabbit was exhausted and very lonely

But had no place else to turn

She was frightened in the place she had to call home

But the world scared her to death as well

What could she do but stay trapped

Just deal with the snake's cruelty and unjust ways towards her

Maybe she deserved this in some way.
