To love and to have it lost but who will the girl you left remain
You said before you were looking for the girl without the mask and the performance
Once you got her you left her standing in the spotlight
She had no lines but plenty to say but with no one there to hear
Even I'd she says it will just fall on deaf ears
But to leave her broken and confused
For your own well being and she is the one being called selfish
But at what cost did you lose when she was standing there with nothing
No goodbye nothing but an empty expression on your face
Did you really love the girl behind the mask
Did you really wanna see her without the performance and the show
She is standing there, arms wide open
And waiting to that moment
The moment will never come
It will never because while she wasn't performing
But You was doing the best act yet
Was it all just an actual that she didn't see
Was it all just for you and to use me
The girl in the show is gone
And one day when you miss her
She won't be there to prove you wrong

It is hardly debatable that the world has always been run by a bunch of aging dinosaurs, mostly male, who refuse to allow the younger generation to bring about changes. Politicians and leaders everywhere refuse to release the reigns of creativity and leadership until they are dead or dying. It is time to give the young a chance to revolutionize and change the entire landscape of their existence. Those of us with one foot in the grave, so to speak, should wake up and realize that we are not the ones who will be living in the world in the years to come.
