The Script of a Relationship

A Poem

We meet, become friends,..then digital friends.

Correlative ignorance ensues,..hours turn into days

A ping opens a can of worms and words,...light banter to cheeky flaunts

Time goes by..

Greetings become emotional dumping ground, old wounds open and are left to bleed

An attempt to stitch and band-aid them again,..A fresh plaster is always nice to see on

But within, is it healing anything, at all?

Newness is always fresh,..always welcomed, running from the past

Going to new places together,..talks about beliefs, aspirations, heartbreaks

So far, no one disagrees,..too early moot points might cause an end-point

It's perfect and has an optimistic future,..both think so unspeakably

On and offs Rendez-Vous are now sleepovers,..weekends are now designated for that

Other friends join the 'To-Do-List',..that is barely touched

Evaluation time creeps in, unwantedly,..mental check-lists are analysed

Comparisons from previous lovers,..without any reference

A new happy place is harmonised together,..longer stayovers eventually make one room obsolete

Welcome to their new dwelling,..filled with old new memories

Old old memories are now locked in a drawer pertaining to a forever lost key,..to prevent contagion of said so can of worms

The new coating of the house reinforces the novelty of the relationship,..Lingering newness with trivial pursuits around and for the house

A bodily need to sweat to be sexier in bed builds a subscription to a cave filled with testosterone

A touch of hedonism always pushes the relationship further: which way?

A dash of long gone datenight ending with serendipity to metal music compliments the puzzle pieces

Hands intertwined, torsos kissing, peaceful nights,..moving from step to step of the ladder

An initialisation of labelling will cause chaos,..two worlds collide and ricochet at first

Are the esoteric features subliminal enough to blend?
