The Rose and the Thorn

The Story of a Thorn and Beautiful Rose

She was so young.

So innocent. So pure.

Why she chose me,

I’m still not so sure.

~*~*~*~

For she was a Rose

And I was a Thorn

From two different worlds

We were both born.

~*~*~*~

She smiled and blushed.

She was so shy.

She was so beautiful,

This was no lie.

~*~*~*~

We talked and we sang.

We laughed and we cried.

Our friendship grew stronger,

And her love never died.

~*~*~*~

As we grew older,

My feelings would grow.

The Thorn loved the Rose.

His heart told him so.

~*~*~*~

Did she feel the same way?

I would not know.

My very worst fear

Was if she said no.

~*~*~*~

Tragedy had struck.

Love would help her through.

I swear it was this

That made our love true.

~*~*~*~

Something dear to me was lost

But the Rose I had won.

When she said she loved me,

A new life has begun.

~*~*~*~

This story now ends

And I hope this help shows,

The love between me

And my Beautiful Rose.
