There’s a wild running river full of life and full of peace,

It glows with royal beauty and fills you like a feast,

The light reflects and blinds your eyes,

Too glorious to see.

Oh I wish that I could catch a glimpse,

Just a second’s all I need.

The sand is soft and white,

The waves are silver pure,

The edges foaming over,

It smells of a glorious myrrh.

There’s a wild running river full of life and full of peace,

It glows with royal beauty and fills you like a feast,

The light reflects and blinds your eyes,

Too glorious to see.

Oh I wish that I could catch a glimpse,

Just a second’s all I need.

This river that I speak of,

It flows at the heart of heaven,

Watched by a pure white dove,

And surrounded by a tree that is beloved.

Oh how I wish to swim within the depths,

Wading into the peaceful waters,

And healing my broken soul.

He'll gather up his sons and daughters,

And let us all swim and wade among the cleansing shores.

Just you wait and see,

Hope you'll be there to swim with me.

There’s a wild running river full of life and full of peace,

It glows with royal beauty and fills you like a feast,

The light reflects and blinds your eyes,

Too glorious to see.

Oh I can't wait till I catch a glimpse,

All eternity, I'll need.
