The Rise of The Brown Wombman

Poetry for Your Soul

Why are we still blaming the oppressor for our issues?

We can’t hold on to the past and expect to move forward.

Aside of all racism and sexism… let's look at everything as narcissism

Compare our relationship with the oppressor and us to a narcissistic parent and their child

They constantly blame the child for everything, even if it’s at the hands of the parent, it's wild

This parent may or may never acknowledge their short comings or open their eyes

And when you tell them they hurt you it's your fault and it intensifies

They start to justify their actions

Therefore, in their mind, NOTHING is wrong, where is the loyalty in this faction?

We can run around here and demand this parent gives us the respect we deserve

But they won't, so it is all lost, you are working their last nerve

They need to have control for survival no matter if your dignity is the cost

We look for their approval in our everyday actions subconsciously we don't even know it... lost

Harboring thoughts akin to

“I better not do this, or it could be the death of me,”

“most of the things I do will be overshadowed, but I will be loved by them,”

“what I do will seem to be ripped from my soul as if it never existed within me, but I will have security”

At other times we might think, “why even try?” Even that's treated as sin

They wouldn’t dare let you do that, it’s too much for them to even let you in,

They might flat out exclude you or not show that they truly even love you

Yet you somehow feel in debt to them for bringing you into this world and providing for you.

You even try to awaken and break free from this, but your parent’s voice somehow finds you

We even start to awaken, gain consciousness, and out of love we beg them peacefully

To treat us with respect and recognize that we are worthy.

You tell them how their actions hurt you,

You give them the full vision of your experience only for them to criticize you

And accuse you of exaggerating, telling you to let it go

Your version of events makes you their biggest target for the moment

And they choose to escalate the abuse to both of your detriment

One reason being their own fear of annihilation,

Another, the fear of not being needed so that they can feel worthy, those insecurities,

Fear of you sharing your truth not wanting the world to know the true stories

They may even try to assassinate your character

Or better yet show others how delusional you are and how they have been your caretaker

Perceptions formed about you before you can even share your truth

Only so they can remain flawless in the eyes of others. This narcissism, a mental health issue?

Most narcissists will never admit their behavior, because in their mind that would mean they don’t deserve the love that they have been demanding and far removed from being your savior.

Aside of all their deaf ears and the cause of oppressed tears

The only place to heal is to go deep within self where there is higher guidance, the wise listens

The damage has already been done but your soul still glistens.

Claim your abundance, this path was just turbulence

The first steps to healing are awareness, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Forgiveness to ourselves first and foremost, forgiveness to each other, forgiveness to our ancestors

And finally, forgiveness to the oppressor for they do not understand that their need for power arises from an unconscious insecurity that is so deep it can't be explained in one poem.

Forgiveness is not permission for them, it is permission for you

I believe our solution to overcome racism exists only through love.

Not in rolling over to continue to be a doormat but moving away from those that cause this pain in Love for our true Divine Self.

Following our own soul is our roadmap to success, naturally we will come together for a greater purpose,

No rallying of vessels needed as our soul consciousness will no longer be defeated

We must first start with ourselves, raising up ourselves, creating the world we wish to see, energetically co-creating as we manifest our inner visions magnetically

We will repeat a new cycle of oneness, love consciousness through our people that only acknowledges that which we choose to experience. We don’t continue to hold on to the past, but we let the past empower us on our astute ability to survive and rise above oppression. We transform our anger and we let it drive us to look deep within our own souls and bring out the greatest within us.

After we relieve ourselves of the prejudices of our oppressor, we will realize our souls prefers no color over another, our soul only knows what it needs, and if one meets a soul sister or brother we will know that moment is exactly what’s in need.

I truly believe our people chose deep down as a group consciousness to be oppressed so they could understand their lowest nature and so that they may overcome and experience their true power, for how can you truly know power if you do not know your weakness? The oppressors are simply humanity’s weakness and those of us who know our strength can stretch out love beyond what was thought to be our limit. We shall overcome. MLK was on to something when he said our people will see the promise land.

My promise land began in my womb and it began to permeate throughout my veins, carrying cells of healing all the way up to my brain, coinciding with the desires of my soul, the once labeled Black, African-American, Brown Womban has risen to her true Goddess Power without the worldly security that once oppressed my vessel while tearing down my ancestor’s royal tower. You have oppressed my body, but never again will you oppress my soul!
