The Ride to Victory
A letter to Elizabeth
The ride to victory is long and creepy.
Emancipate yourself from mental captivity;
Dissociate from stupidity;
Move far from the chains of captivity and embrace lucidity.
Focus on the goal at hand;
Remember what is at stake.
Inevitably, boredom and sorrow will creep up on you,
As you journey to this place dubbed yours.
But, have no fear for what I said; joy and laughter will heal your wounds.
Forget not to let go of the “nothing” that you have clutched, in your untouched hand.
The Man above is waiting to embrace your heart;
Cold, sore, shattered; he wants it all.
The ride to victory is long and hard.
Keep knocking till you find what you want;
Keep seeking, continue leaping above walls and barricades that have trapped and stopped many.
It is not for you to worry or feel hurried;
His strength that surpasses all understanding will shield and uphold you.
Run you must, the victory needs to be won.
The ride to victory is long and pricey.
Time and effort your obvious currency.
But, push, till you cause an inrush of your splendor in this world.
Again, I say to worry and be defeated is not for you.
Leave those details to the manufacture of your soul,
You are not alone so, just run.
Now you know that the ride to victory is long, hard, creepy and pricey,
But, it should not stop you from achieving, believing and living.
Doom and destruction, these are not new at all;
but, you dear, are what we all await that’s new.
So, I say to you my love, shine!
Elizabeth, ride on to victory, the world is waiting for you.
