The roses can bloom
He can be as red as the red on her lips
She can know whether love is love or lust
He leaves the white blossoming roses at her side
The night that shall come is the day
Night awakens from its slumber
The morning is bright
Eyes are blinded by the day
Red of lips touch the red of his heart
Time to stay gold
Hope and wonder in his starry eyes
The hope of a life long knot in his heart
A girl of who lives in the present and never sees what is to come

Loving the days in every second
As the clocks tick and tock
She lets the roses wilt 'til the last drop
Time stops
The dreams and hopes fall

It Only Took One Minute.......
It only took a minute. I was sitting at the computer in my office when the phone rang. I picked up the receiver and then laid it down my desk as I went to find the student who the call was for. Within seconds I was back at my desk, ready to resume typing, when I heard the student yelling obscenities at me for listening in to his call through the handset that was still lying on the desk. Sick and tired of the lies he was spewing, I was up running down the hall, ready to kill him. By the time I reached him, I had calmed enough not to hurt him, but as I turned back towards my room, I knew that I couldn’t go on like this any longer. The decision was clear. I had to leave.

A CLOSE ENCOUNTER
Stars twinkled brightly in a moonless sky, reflecting in the calm waters of Lake George in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York. It was a warm August night, as we laid back in the boat, marveling at the magnificent Milky Way. Dark skies made the stars more brilliant at this time of year, especially during a new moon, causing wonder and enchantment. We never tired of stargazing while floating on water, a truly immersive experience.
